How Trade Time Availability Checker Works

4 min read

The Trade Time Availability Checker makes sure the Trade Time you’ve selected is actually available before Dewbot places a trade.

This is important because not every trading asset supports every Trade Time. Depending on the asset you’re trading, some time options may be missing. There are also times when the trading platform temporarily removes certain Trade Times from an asset.

Dewbot cannot control these changes. It simply checks what is currently available and responds based on the options you’ve chosen.

When Dewbot Checks Trade Time #

Dewbot checks your selected Trade Time at two different stages.

Before Trading Starts #

When you click Start, Call, or Put, Dewbot first checks whether your selected Trade Time is available on the current trading asset.

If everything matches, the trading session begins normally.

This check helps prevent Dewbot from starting a session with a Trade Time that isn’t supported.

During an Active Session #

Dewbot doesn’t stop checking once trading has started.

Before each new trade cycle, it verifies that the current Trade Time on the platform is still the same as the one your session is using.

If the Trade Time changes or becomes unavailable, Dewbot detects it before placing the next trade and responds according to your selected option.

When Everything Is Available #

If your selected Trade Time is still available, Dewbot simply continues trading as normal.

For example:

  • Selected Trade Time: M1
  • Current asset supports M1

Since the selected Trade Time is available, Dewbot continues the session without making any changes.

If Your Selected Trade Time Is No Longer Available #

If Dewbot finds that your selected Trade Time is unavailable, it won’t continue using an unsupported time.

Instead, it displays a Time Frame Unavailable message and gives you three choices:

  • Switch to another currency pair
  • Use the next available time frame
  • Stop Trading

Option 1: Switch to Another Currency Pair #

If you choose this option, Dewbot looks for another trading asset that supports your selected Trade Time.

This is useful if you want to keep using the same Trade Time instead of changing to a different one.

If Dewbot cannot find a suitable asset, it will let you know.

Option 2: Use the Next Available Time Frame #

If you select this option, Dewbot stays on the current asset and switches to the closest available Trade Time.

For example, if your selected Trade Time is no longer available, Dewbot automatically chooses the nearest supported option.

This allows the session to continue without changing to another asset.

Option 3: Stop Trading #

If you choose Stop Trading, Dewbot ends the trading session instead of continuing with a different Trade Time.

This option is useful if you only want Dewbot to trade using the exact Trade Time you originally selected.

Automatic Trade Time Update Before a Session Starts #

Before a new session begins, Dewbot refreshes the list of available Trade Times from the platform.

If the selected Trade Time is no longer available on the current asset, Dewbot may automatically update the selection to the closest available option and display a Time Frame Updated message.

This helps prevent startup errors caused by unavailable Trade Times.

Checking Custom Time #

If you’re using Custom Time, Dewbot performs an additional check before trading.

It compares your custom Trade Time with the range of Trade Times currently supported by the selected asset.

If your custom value falls outside the supported range, Dewbot asks how you’d like to continue.

Your options are:

  • Switch to another currency pair
  • Use the next available time frame
  • Stop Trading

If you choose to use the next available time frame, Dewbot adjusts your custom Trade Time to the closest supported value.

What Happens If the Trade Time Changes During a Session? #

While your session is running, Dewbot keeps comparing the current Trade Time on the platform with the Trade Time your session expects to use.

If they still match, trading continues normally.

If they no longer match, Dewbot first tries to restore the expected Trade Time.

If it cannot restore it, Dewbot asks how you want to continue. If no safe option is available, the session is stopped.

Why This Feature Matters #

The Trade Time Availability Checker helps make sure Dewbot always trades using the Trade Time you intended.

It helps prevent trades from being placed with an unexpected duration, adapts when available Trade Times change, and gives you control over what should happen whenever those changes occur.
