Sometimes you may want to temporarily stop Dewbot from placing new trades without ending your entire trading session. That’s exactly what the Pause feature is for.
Instead of stopping everything, Pause lets you put your session on hold and continue later from where you left off.
How to Pause Dewbot Manually #
Once a trading session is running, the Pause button becomes available in the Trading GUI.
To pause your session:
- Start a trading session.
- Wait for Dewbot to begin trading.
- Click Pause.
When you do this, Dewbot doesn’t stop immediately. Instead, it marks the session to be paused.
If a trade is already in progress, Dewbot will allow that trade to finish normally. Once the current trade cycle is complete, it will pause before placing the next trade.
This means no active trade is interrupted or cancelled.
After the pause takes effect, Dewbot will show that trading has been paused and will not place any new trades until you choose to continue.
How to Resume Trading #
When you’re ready to continue:
- Return to the Trading GUI.
- Click Resume.
Dewbot will continue the same trading session from where it paused, so there’s no need to start a new session or reconfigure your settings.
When Dewbot Can Pause Automatically #
Besides pausing manually, there are situations where Dewbot may pause a session on its own.
Martingale Limit Reached #
If you’re using Martingale and your configured Martingale Limit is reached, Dewbot will follow the action you’ve selected.
If that action is Pause, the session will pause automatically.
Just like a manual pause, Dewbot will first allow the current trade cycle to finish before applying the pause.
This gives you a chance to review the session before deciding whether to continue.
Poor Connection Detected #
If Dewbot detects an unstable internet connection or notices that the trading platform is responding too slowly, it may pause trading automatically.
You may see a message similar to:
Poor Connection: Trading paused
This is a protective measure that helps reduce the chance of trading issues caused by connection problems.
Manual Hold #
Whenever you click the Pause button yourself, Dewbot enters a manual hold state.
It will remain paused until you click Resume.
When Dewbot Stops Instead of Pausing #
Not every situation results in a pause.
For example, if your Martingale Limit Action is set to Stop, Dewbot will end the current trading session when that limit is reached.
If the action is set to Reset, Dewbot will reset the trade amount back to the configured Base Amount and continue trading instead of pausing.
Summary #
Dewbot can pause a trading session in three main ways:
- You manually click Pause.
- Your Martingale Limit is reached and the selected action is Pause.
- Dewbot detects a poor internet connection or platform delay.
One important thing to remember is that a pause is only applied after the current trade cycle finishes. Dewbot never interrupts a trade that is already in progress.
Use Pause whenever you want to temporarily put your trading session on hold and continue later.
Use Stop when you want to completely end the current trading session.
