If you try to open Dewbot and nothing happens, don’t worry. In most cases, the problem is caused by something simple, such as Windows blocking the application, an antivirus removing some files, or an incomplete installation.
Work through the fixes below one at a time. In many cases, one of them will get Dewbot running again.
1. Run Dewbot as Administrator #
Dewbot may need administrator permission to access certain parts of your system when it starts.
To do this:
- Right-click the Dewbot application.
- Select Run as administrator.
- If Windows asks for permission, click Yes.
Once Dewbot opens successfully, you can continue using it normally.
2. Check Windows Defender or Your Antivirus #
Sometimes Windows Defender or other antivirus software may mistakenly block or quarantine Dewbot files. When this happens, Dewbot may not open at all.
Common signs include:
- Dewbot closes immediately after opening.
- Nothing happens when you double-click the application.
- Some Dewbot files disappear from the installation folder.
To check:
- Open Windows Security or your antivirus program.
- Go to the Protection History or Quarantine section.
- If any Dewbot files were quarantined, restore them.
- Add your Dewbot installation folder to your antivirus exclusions so the files won’t be blocked again.
If you’re not sure how to do this, follow the Windows Defender exclusion guide.
3. Make Sure All Dewbot Files Are Still There #
Dewbot relies on all of its installation files to start correctly. If some files are missing, it may fail to open.
Open your Dewbot installation folder and check that:
- The main Dewbot application is still there.
- The supporting folders and files are still present.
- Nothing has been deleted or moved.
If you notice missing files, the easiest solution is to download a fresh copy of Dewbot and reinstall it.
4. Make Sure You Have a Supported Browser Installed #
Dewbot requires a supported browser to operate properly.
Supported browsers are:
- Google Chrome
- Microsoft Edge
If neither browser is installed on your computer, install one of them first and then try launching Dewbot again.
5. Check Your Internet Connection #
Before opening the Trading GUI, Dewbot performs a few startup checks that require an active internet connection.
If your connection is unstable or disconnected, Dewbot may not finish starting.
Before trying again, make sure:
- Your internet connection is active.
- You can open websites normally in your browser.
Then close Dewbot completely and launch it again.
6. Restart Your Computer #
Sometimes another program, a locked file, or a temporary Windows issue can prevent Dewbot from opening.
Restart your computer, close any unnecessary applications, and then try opening Dewbot again.
A simple restart often resolves temporary startup problems.
7. Reinstall Dewbot #
If you’ve tried everything above and Dewbot still won’t open, reinstalling it is usually the best option.
To do this:
- Uninstall your current Dewbot installation.
- Download the latest version.
- Install it again.
- Add the installation folder to your Windows Defender or antivirus exclusions before launching Dewbot.
This replaces any damaged, missing, or incomplete files that may be preventing Dewbot from starting.
If Dewbot Still Won’t Open #
If Dewbot still doesn’t open after trying all of these fixes, gather as much information as you can before contacting support.
If possible:
- Note any error message that appears.
- Take a screenshot of the problem.
- Describe exactly what happens when you try to launch Dewbot.
Providing these details will help identify the cause more quickly and make it easier to find the right solution.
