How to Set Base Amount in Dewbot

2 min read

Available in Dewbot Pro Only

The Base Amount setting is available only in Dewbot Pro.

This setting lets you choose the amount Dewbot will use for the very first trade of your trading session. From there, if you’re using a martingale or stack method, Dewbot will calculate any future trade amounts based on this starting value.

Because of this, your Base Amount plays an important role in how your trading session progresses.

Where to Find the Base Amount Setting #

To access the Base Amount field:

  1. Open the Dewbot Launcher.
  2. Select Dewbot Pro.
  3. Wait for the Trading Dashboard to finish loading.

Once the dashboard opens, you’ll see a field labeled Base Amount in the main settings section.

How to Set Your Base Amount #

Setting your Base Amount only takes a few moments.

Step 1: Click the Base Amount Field #

Click inside the Base Amount input box.

Step 2: Enter Your Starting Trade Amount #

Type the amount you want Dewbot to use for the first trade of the session.

For example:

  • $1
  • $2
  • $5

Step 3: Check the Value #

Before moving on, quickly confirm that you’ve entered the amount you intended to use.

Step 4: Configure Your Other Trading Settings #

After setting your Base Amount, review the rest of your session settings, such as:

  • Trade Capital
  • Target Profit
  • Trade Time
  • Stack Method
  • Martingale settings (if you’re using them)

Step 5: Start Your Trading Session #

Once everything looks correct, start Dewbot.

The first trade will use the Base Amount you selected.

Why the Base Amount Matters #

Your Base Amount has a direct impact on how quickly Dewbot can work toward your Target Profit.

A larger Base Amount means each successful trade can generate more profit, which may allow your target to be reached sooner.

A smaller Base Amount means each trade earns less profit, so it may take more successful trades to reach the same target.

For example, imagine your Target Profit is $20.

With a Base Amount of $1, Dewbot may need more winning trades before the target is reached.

With a Base Amount of $5, Dewbot may reach that same target in fewer successful trades because each winning trade starts from a larger amount.

This extra flexibility is one of the advantages available in Dewbot Pro.

How Base Amount Affects Martingale #

If you’re using Martingale or another stack method that increases trade amounts after a loss, your Base Amount becomes even more important.

Every increase in the progression is calculated from your starting amount.

A smaller Base Amount produces smaller progression values.

For example:

Base Amount = $1

Possible progression:

$1 → $2.17 → $4.73 → $10.28

Now compare that with a larger starting amount.

Base Amount = $5

Possible progression:

$5 → $10.85 → $23.65 → $51.40

As you can see, increasing the Base Amount also increases the size of every recovery trade.

This doesn’t necessarily mean one setting is better than the other—it simply means the progression grows much faster when you start with a larger Base Amount.

For that reason, it’s a good idea to choose a Base Amount that you’re comfortable using throughout the entire trading session, especially if a losing streak occurs.

Choosing a Good Base Amount #

There isn’t a single Base Amount that’s right for everyone.

A good choice usually depends on how you’ve configured the rest of your session, particularly your:

  • Trade Capital
  • Target Profit

If you’d rather work toward your target more gradually, a smaller Base Amount may be more suitable.

If you’d like Dewbot to work toward the target more quickly and you’re comfortable with the larger progression that can come with it, you may choose a higher Base Amount.

The goal is to select a starting amount that matches your overall trading plan and the level of exposure you’re comfortable with.
