S3, S15, M1, M5, and More #
The Trade Time setting tells Dewbot how long each trade should remain open before it closes.
This is one of the most important settings you’ll choose before starting a session because it affects how quickly trades are completed, how fast new trades can begin, and the overall pace of your trading session.
You’ll find this setting in the Trading GUI under Trade Time.
It is available in:
- Dewbot Lite
- Dewbot Prime
- Dewbot Pro
Available Trade Time Options #
The current version of Dewbot includes the following Trade Time options:
- S3 — 3 seconds
- S15 — 15 seconds
- S30 — 30 seconds
- M1 — 1 minute
- M3 — 3 minutes
- M5 — 5 minutes
- M30 — 30 minutes
- H1 — 1 hour
- H4 — 4 hours
Important:
Older versions of Dewbot used S5 (5 seconds). The current version now uses S3 instead. If your version shows different options, simply choose from the Trade Time values available in your own dropdown menu.
What Do S, M, and H Mean? #
The letters simply represent different units of time.
- S = Seconds
- M = Minutes
- H = Hours
For example:
- S15 means 15 seconds
- M1 means 1 minute
- M5 means 5 minutes
- H1 means 1 hour
Once you understand the letters, it’s easy to tell how long each trade will stay open.
How to Set Trade Time #
Setting your Trade Time only takes a few steps.
Step 1: Open Dewbot #
Launch Dewbot and wait for the Trading GUI to load.
Step 2: Locate the Trade Time Field #
Find the dropdown labeled Trade Time.
Step 3: Open the Dropdown #
Click the dropdown to see all available Trade Time options.
Step 4: Choose Your Trade Time #
Select the duration you want Dewbot to use for each trade.
Step 5: Review Your Other Settings #
Before starting your session, take a quick look at your other trading settings, such as:
- Target Profit
- Stack Method
- Base Amount (Pro only)
- Trade Capital (Prime and Pro)
Step 6: Start Trading #
Once everything looks correct, start your trading session.
How Trade Time Affects Your Session #
Changing the Trade Time doesn’t change how Dewbot works—it changes the pace of your trading session.
Short Trade Times #
Examples include:
- S3
- S15
- S30
With shorter Trade Times:
- Trades finish more quickly.
- More trade cycles can occur in a shorter period.
- Your session moves at a faster pace.
- Results become available sooner.
If you prefer a faster-moving session, shorter Trade Times may be a good choice.
Longer Trade Times #
Examples include:
- M5
- M30
- H1
- H4
With longer Trade Times:
- Each trade stays open for a longer period.
- Fewer trades occur over the same amount of time.
- Sessions generally take longer to reach your Target Profit.
If you prefer a slower trading pace, longer Trade Times may suit you better.
How Trade Time Affects Martingale Progression #
If you’re using Martingale, your selected Trade Time also affects how quickly the progression moves after a losing trade.
For example, if your Base Amount is $1 and a trade loses:
- With S3, the next Martingale trade can begin almost immediately after the previous trade closes.
- With M5, you’ll need to wait much longer before the next Martingale trade starts and finishes.
In other words, shorter Trade Times allow Martingale sequences to progress much faster, while longer Trade Times naturally slow the progression down.
This is something to keep in mind when planning your trading session.
Automatic Trade Time Availability Check #
Before Dewbot places any trades, it checks the broker platform to make sure your selected Trade Time is currently available for the asset you’re trading.
This is necessary because Pocket Option may occasionally remove certain Trade Time options from specific assets. These changes are controlled entirely by the broker and can happen without notice.
For example, an asset might normally offer:
- S3
- S15
- S30
- M1
Later, one or more of those options may no longer be available.
Dewbot does not control:
- when a Trade Time is removed
- why it is removed
- when it becomes available again
It simply checks which Trade Times the broker currently supports before trading begins.
If your selected Trade Time isn’t available, Dewbot may automatically switch to the closest available option so your trading session can continue without interruption.
This helps prevent trade errors and keeps Dewbot synchronized with the broker’s available settings.
Final Tip #
There isn’t a single Trade Time that’s best for everyone.
The right choice usually depends on:
- How quickly you want your trading session to progress.
- How fast you want to work toward your Target Profit.
- The current market trend.
For example, if the market is showing strong short-term movement, Trade Times like S3 or S15 may be suitable.
If the market is moving more slowly or showing clearer longer-term trends, options such as M5 or M30 may be a better fit.
Before starting a session, take a moment to observe the market and choose the Trade Time that best matches the current conditions.
