How to Download Dewbot

3 min read

Downloading Dewbot is the first step before you can install and start using it. In this guide, you’ll learn where to download Dewbot, which files you actually need, and what to expect after the download is complete.

Open the Download Page #

To get started, visit the official Dewbot website and open the Download page.

This is the only place you should download Dewbot from. It always provides the latest official version, helping you avoid outdated or modified copies from unofficial sources.

On the download page, you may also see information such as:

  • The latest Dewbot version
  • Release notes
  • System compatibility
  • Installation instructions
  • Important security notices

Download the Installer #

Most users only need to download the main Dewbot installer.

Simply click the Download button and your browser will begin downloading the file.

Depending on the browser you’re using, one of the following may happen:

  • The download appears in your browser’s download bar.
  • You’re asked where you want to save the file.
  • A browser security warning appears before the download begins.

These are all normal. Just wait for the download to finish completely before opening the installer.

Understanding the Different File Types #

You may occasionally see different file types available for Dewbot. Here’s what each one is used for.

EXE File (.exe) #

The EXE file is the main installer.

For example:

Dewbot_Setup.exe

This file installs Dewbot on your computer by:

  • Installing the application
  • Creating the required folders
  • Preparing everything needed to launch Dewbot

For almost every user, this is the only file you’ll need.

ZIP File (.zip) #

Sometimes Dewbot files are packaged as a ZIP archive.

For example:

Dewbot_Files.zip

A ZIP file simply contains one or more files inside it. Before using its contents, you’ll need to extract it.

To do that:

  1. Right-click the ZIP file.
  2. Select Extract All (or your preferred extraction option).
  3. Open the extracted folder.

ZIP files are typically used for things like:

  • Manual installation packages
  • Patch files
  • Backup files

BAT File (.bat) #

You may also come across BAT files.

These are helper files that automate certain Windows tasks, such as:

  • Adding Dewbot to Windows Defender exclusions
  • Running setup tasks
  • Fixing certain launch issues

Only run BAT files that come directly from the official Dewbot download.

LOG File (.log) #

LOG files are not installation files.

Instead, they’re created after you begin using Dewbot and are used to record information such as:

  • Startup activity
  • Error messages
  • Trading session events

If you ever contact support, you may be asked to provide these log files to help diagnose a problem.

What Happens After the Download? #

Once the download is complete, here’s what you can expect.

Windows Security Warning #

Because Dewbot is a Windows desktop application, Windows may display a security message such as:

  • Windows protected your PC
  • Microsoft Defender SmartScreen
  • Unknown publisher

This does not automatically mean the file is unsafe.

Windows sometimes displays these warnings for applications that haven’t yet built enough reputation with Microsoft.

If you downloaded Dewbot from the official website, you can follow the Dewbot SmartScreen guide to continue safely.

Installing Dewbot #

After opening the installer:

  • The setup process begins.
  • Required files are copied to your computer.
  • Dewbot creates the folders it needs.
  • Installation completes.

This usually only takes a few minutes.

Desktop Shortcut #

After installation, Dewbot may create shortcuts such as:

  • A Desktop shortcut
  • A Start Menu shortcut
  • A program folder

These make it easier to launch Dewbot in the future.

First Launch #

The first time you open Dewbot, it performs a few startup checks before opening the trading interface.

These may include:

  • Checking your internet connection
  • Preparing browser automation
  • Opening the Pocket Option website
  • Confirming that you’re logged into your trading account

This is all part of Dewbot’s normal startup process.

Before You Download #

Keep these requirements in mind before installing Dewbot.

Windows Only #

Dewbot currently supports Windows PCs only.

It does not run on:

  • Android
  • iPhone (iOS)
  • macOS

Supported Browsers #

Dewbot works with:

  • Google Chrome
  • Microsoft Edge

Make sure at least one of these browsers is installed before using Dewbot.

Internet Connection #

A stable internet connection is recommended for:

  • Downloading Dewbot
  • Completing installation
  • First-time verification
  • Normal trading operation

Common Download Problems #

The Download Doesn’t Start #

If nothing happens after clicking the download button, possible causes include:

  • A slow internet connection
  • A browser restriction
  • A temporary server issue

Try refreshing the page and downloading again. If the problem continues, try using a different browser.

Your Browser Blocks the Download #

Some browsers automatically warn you before downloading executable (.exe) files.

If you’re downloading Dewbot from the official website, you can usually choose Keep or Allow Download to continue.

The Downloaded File Disappears #

If the installer seems to disappear after downloading, your antivirus software may have quarantined it.

Before downloading it again, check:

  • Your Downloads folder
  • Your antivirus quarantine
  • Your browser’s download history

If your antivirus removed the file by mistake, follow the Dewbot guide on adding the installer to your antivirus or Windows Defender exclusions before downloading it again.
