The Martingale Limit controls how many times Dewbot is allowed to increase and repeat a trade after a loss within a trading session.
When Dewbot loses a trade cycle, it can increase the next trade amount in an attempt to recover the loss and still make profit. This is called Martingale progression.
The Martingale Limit simply tells Dewbot how far it is allowed to continue this recovery process.
Example:
Let’s say:
- Starting Trade Amount = $1
- Martingale Limit = 5
If losses continue, Dewbot may trade like this:
- Cycle 1 → $1 (loss)
- Cycle 2 → $2 (loss)
- Cycle 3 → $4 (loss)
- Cycle 4 → $8 (loss)
- Cycle 5 → $16 (loss)
At this point, the Martingale Limit has been reached.
Depending on your settings, Dewbot can then:
- stop the trading session, or
- pause the trading session
instead of continuing to increase the trade amount.
Why is this important?
Martingale can help recover losses, but without a limit, trade amounts can grow very fast and consume your trade capital.
The Martingale Limit helps you:
- control risk
- protect your capital
- avoid overexposure
- manage how aggressive your recovery strategy becomes
Important tip:
A higher Martingale Limit gives Dewbot more chances to recover losses, but it also increases risk.
A lower Martingale Limit reduces risk, but may stop a trading session earlier before recovery happens.
The best Martingale Limit depends on:
- your trade capital
- your starting trade amount
- your risk tolerance
- market conditions
